John F. “Jack” McKnight, age 82, of Indiana, PA, died Monday, October 2, 2000, at St. Andrews Village. Mr. McKnight had also been a National Bank Examiner from 1946 to 1949, and had served as president of the Illinois Bankers Association from 1972 to 1973. Surviving is his wife, Ruth Henderson McKnight, whom he married June 14, 1941; five grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Mildred McElhoes of Indiana, PA. He was preceded in death by a son, B. Wayne. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2000 at the Elderton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Donald M. Rising officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
