John “Jack” Arlington Redding, 74, of Lake Forest, formerly of Wilmette, died Sept. 30, 2000, husband of Lucy V.; father of Nancy (Richard) Shepard of Bloomfield Hills, MI, John (Deborah) Redding Jr., of Grand Rapids, MI, Ann Hibbard Redding of Grape Vine, TX and Martha (Rory) Laughna, of Westwood, MA; grandfather of Stephanie and Griffin Shepard, John III and Emily Redding, Ryan, Andrew, Mary and Sara Laughna; brother of George (Margaret) Redding Jr. of Winnetka and William (Judy) Redding of Lake Forest. Memorial service 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Firest Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, 700 N. Sheridan Rd., Lake Forest, IL. No visitation. Interment private.
