Mr. Frank Joseph Antolec Sr., age 83, of Spring Lake, MI, died Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at a local hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL on Sept. 2, 1917 to George and Antoinette, nee Piton, Antolec and married the former Stella Pociask on Sept. 6, 1941 in Chicago, IL. Mr. Antolec served his country in the US Army in World War II. He formerly owned Sunnyside Grocery in Ferrysburg, MI. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, The American Legion Post 28 and also the 40 and 8. Mr. Antolec enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting and boating. Survivors include his wife, Stella; two daughters, Sandra Ratledge of Spring Lake, MI and Arlene (Ron) Schroeder of Las Cruz, NM; a son, Frank (Gail) Antolec Jr. of Glendale Heights, IL; six grandchildren, William, Robert, Kimberly, Kari, Kelli and Laura; five great-grandchildren, Joshua, William II, Anthony, Dustin and Brandon; a sister, Bernice (Michael) Blezien of Mt. Prospect, IL; two brothers, Walter (Rose) Antolec of Des Plaines, IL and Joseph (Bernice) Antolec of Wood Dale, IL; also several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Mr Antolec was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John in 2000 and a sister Anna Dobosz in 1990. Service Friday, October 6, 2000, 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Anthony Vainavicz officiating. Military rites by the American Legion Post 28. Visitation Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m. at Clock Funeral Home with a scripture service at 8:30 p.m. Memorial: Mass Intentions at St. Mary’s Church.
