John E. Ayres at rest Sept. 30, 2000 and his wife Helen C. Ayres, nee Conroy, at rest Oct. 2, 2000; John is the dear brother of the late Joseph, Dorothy, Margaret Nield, Walter and Lester Ayres. He was WW II veteran and member of Serra Club, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Ascension Mens Club and the Knights of Columbus; Helen is the dear sister of the late Evelyn Inglesby and Marcella Conroy; uncle and aunt of many. Funeral for John and Helen, Thursday, Oct. 5, 9 a.m. to St. Bernardine Church, Forest Park. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Visitation at P.M.
