John F. Cuyjet, orignally of Philadelphia, PA, died Sunday, October 1, 2000, in Scottsdale, AZ. He was retired from the Chicago Board of Education, where he was a carpenter and teacher for many years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edwinna Cuyjet; a brother Aloysius Cuyjet; his children Michael (Carol) Cuyjet, Joan (Jim) Tilmon, George Cuyjet; grandchildren Allison Cuyjet, Leslie Cuyjet, and Ashley Cuyjet, James (Patricia) Tilmon, John (Linda) Tilmon, and Thera Tilmon; great-grandchildren Michael, Michelle, Dezerene, and Marcus Tilmon; nieces and nephews Henri (Carolyn) Bailey, Carmelita Banks, John Bailey, Aloysius (Beverly) Cuyjet, Gregory (Valerie) Cuyjet, Glenn (Roberta) Cuyjet; numerous cousins and many friends. Visitation Thursday 7 p.m. at A. A. Rayner & Sons Funeral Home, 318 East 71st Street. Funeral Mass Friday, 10 a.m. at St. Joachim Church, 700 East 91st Street. Visitation before Mass 9:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, West 87th Street, Evergreen Park, IL. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association in John’s name.
