Marie Elizabeth Masters, age 95, a lifelong resident of Chicago, passed away at St. Anthony’s Nursing Home, Crown Point, IN, on Sunday,Oct. 1, 2000. Marie was Building Manager for the Butler Building in Chicago for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Masters; daughter, Virginia (late Francis) Meisl; parents, John and Margaret Birmingham; brother, Francis Birmingham; and son-in-law, Leonard Fairbairn; she is survived by her daughter,Marian Fairbairn of Crown Point, IN; son, William (Jean) Masters of Florida; nine grandchildren;17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, George (Jackie) Birmingham of Florida; and sister-in-law, Marge Birmingham of Illinois; many nieces and nephews. Prayer services will be held Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at 9:45 a.m. at the Hornburg-Klein Evergreen Funeral Home, 2955 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park, IL, to Holy Redeemer Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
