Never make artist Lee Tracy cry–her tears hurt when she throws them. Tracy’s “100 Tears,” or 8-inch drops made of hand-blown glass, contain written descriptions of the past century’s disturbing (and sometimes humorous) events. The lonely exhibition, along with her “Advice to Anyone” paintings, opens at 5 p.m. Friday (through Oct. 29) at First Floor, 855 W. Blackhawk St. Free. 312-266-4955. Other upcoming art events: “Indivisible: Stories of American Community,” a photography display of American “community life and grassroots action,” beginning at 10 a.m. Friday (through Nov. 26) at Terra Museum of American Art, 664 N. Michigan Ave. $7. 312-664-3939; “BareWalls 2000,” in which 140 School of the Art Institute alumni draw and paint while you watch for a benefit auction, 6 p.m. Oct. 14 at the school, 847 W. Jackson Blvd. $45. 312-899-5218.
