The Cubs should keep Mark Grace!
As a lifelong Cubs fan who has moved away, lived overseas and finally settled in Texas, I have always remained a loyal Cubs fan. It’s not a business to me. It’s entertainment, and it does involve feelings–including loyalty for an outstanding performer. Mark Grace has done that on and off the field.
I have stayed a loyal Cubs fan (as millions have) because of my feelings for the Cubs as a team. I buy and display Cubs merchandise proudly. I attend Cubs games when I am close to where they are playing because of my feelings for the Cubs.
My feelings now are that Mark Grace deserves to join the likes of Ernie Banks and Ryne Sandberg by ending his career as a Chicago Cub.
Keeping Mark Grace will make me proud of being a Cubs fan; letting him go will show me the Cubs are becoming just another franchise.
