William A. Kirchner, September 28, peacefully in his sleep. After a long career teaching art in Blue Island, Naperville and Hammond, he retired to begin a new career as a tireless docent for the Historic Pullman Foundation, never failing a cheerful greeting and thorough tour for visitors at the Hotel Florence in Chicago’s Historic Pullman District, where he made his home for the last 30 years.
