I followed the Olympics like many thousands of other fans, and I must say I am embarrassed by the U.S. Olympic team’s practice of wearing sunglasses while competing, getting interviewed and elsewhere. It is disrespectful to other Olympic competitors and downright rude.
I found myself rooting for athletes from other countries against the athletes from my own land.
Whoever approved this “look” for the U.S. athletes should be ashamed as it just proves that we are not worthy of the respect we could have garnered by means of our talent.
