The Olympic Games have come to an end, and yet the images of Maurice Greene and his track relay team linger–like an open sore. What was going through their empty minds? It was painful watching their affectations after winning gold. It better suited out-of-control children than adult men. Obviously humility and the spirit of the Olympic Games escaped them.

Affecting look-at-me attitude, slapping biceps and dropping to one knee to pose like professional wrestler Hollywood Hogan was low budget. Their hip-hop behavior on the podium lacked class.

Worse, how did the rest of the world view this arrogance in the face of victory? Ugly Americans maybe?
