Susan Bell Alvord, 59, of Chicago, formerly of Erie, PA, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000 at her residence. She is survived by her father, Vincent Bell and her stepmother, Lily Bell of Melbourne, FL; two sisters, Linda (George) Maines of Erie, PA and Vicki (Pat) Costello of Cincinnati, OH; two nephews, Jay Moehler of Erie, PA, Sean Costello of Los Angeles, CA; one niece, Kelly Costello of Chicago. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Unity Church of Chicago, 1925 West Thome Street, in the Rogers Park area of Chicago at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000. Burial was in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Erie, PA. Memorials may be made to Friends of L’Arche, Inc., 1101 Peach Street, Erie, PA 16501.
