Winifred Rath, 82, of Elgin, passed away Friday, Oct. 6, beloved wife of the late Harold Rath; loving mother of Peggy (Mark) Roth of Elgin and Kevin (Paula) Rath of Elmhurst, IL; fond grandmother of five; sister to Nancy Egan of Ireland; dearest aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will start with Prayers on Monday at 11:10 a.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 South State St. (Rt. 31), Elgin, to St. Laurence Catholic Church for Mass at 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
