In response to the Oct. 2 letter by Gerald R. Capadona, “Unacceptable slurs,” I need to correct one sentence. Mentally ill people are on the second to the bottom rung. White males are at the absolute bottom rung.
Just watch any TV show, any advertisement, any movie, any comic strip, etc. Read any newspaper and see how many derogatory comments are made by non-white males about white males that go uncriticized, yet read the uproar when the opposite occurs.
