We commend the Tribune for publishing the images of the Palestinian boy dying in the arms of his gravely wounded father. As pediatricians and parents of a similarly aged boy, we can only imagine the agony of the family.
Thousands of Palestinian children have died by Israeli bullets. Those children’s crimes were the throwing of stones at Israeli soldiers who stole their land, demolished their homes and deprived them of their basic human rights.
The first thing our country should do is to stop supplying Israel with financial and political support. There is no strategic interest in supporting child murderers.
