Harry Joseph Gilman, passed away October 6, 2000 in St. Joseph Hospital in Chiago, Illinois with his loving family at his bedside. He was born in New York City, the youngest of eight children and was a graduate of City of New York Law School. He served with distinction in WW II as an Army Officer and Military Governor. While learning Japanese at University of Chicago, he met his wife of 54 years, Gari Harriet, nee Janows; in addition he is survived by his children, Steven, Sharon and Dr. Alan David (Zora D.); and greatgrandchildren, Sarah and Adam. Graveside service Sunday 11:00 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Gan M’nucha section, 9900 N. Gross Point Road, Skokie.
