John Nicholas Payne, age 85, died October 6, 2000 in Plantation, FL, he was a lifetime resident of Chicago where he was employed by Marshall Field & Company for 42 years, retiring as a merchandise manager. He was also a member of Holy Name Cathedral where a Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date; he is survived by several nieces and nephews. T.M.
