Myron Daniel Alexander, a native of Chicago who resided in Portola Valley, CA, died on September 26. Mr. Alexander, an attorney, received his law degree from Northwestern University, served in the U.S. Air Force in WWII, then moved to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he practiced law for more than 40 years. He also taught part-time at Stanford University and was involved in local community affairs and environmental planning and preservation, including the incorporation of the town of Portola Valley, CA, and the preservation of nearby open spaces. He is survived by two daughters and two granddaughters. Memorial services will be held Friday, October 13, at 2 p.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
