Edward “Duke” Wilde, a resident of Daggett, MI, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away suddenly Friday, October 6, 2000 at the age of 59. He was born in Chicago January 18, 1941 to the late Edward Otto and LaVern, nee Evertson, Wilde. He married the former Mary Ann Konieczka August 28, 1971 in Chicago. Edward was a stationary engineer for the Chicago Board of Education for 30 years, retiring in February 1995. He was a faithful member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Edward enjoyed woodcarving, hunting, and fishing. Survivors include his wife Mary Ann of Daggett; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and hunting buddies Tom Martz, John Konieczka, Christopher Martz, and Jim Heim. The funeral service was held in Stephenson, MI, with interment in Bethesda Cemetery, Daggett. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 13, 2000 at 11 a.m. at The Church of The Good Shepherd, 4200 West 62nd Street, Chicago, IL 60629, 773-581-0096, Reverend Peter Hoffman.
