Donald R. Froelke, 87, of Port Charlotte, FL, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000 at his residence. He was born August 28, 1913 in Chicago, IL and moved to Port Charlotte over 17 years ago from Chicago. Member of San Antonio Catholic Church and the Illinois Club in Port Charlotte, FL. He worked for General Motors Electro-Motive Division. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lorraine Froelke of Port Charlotte, FL; two sons, D. Richard (Hilda) Froelke of Alexandria, VA and David R. (Sherri) Froelke of Woodland Hills, CA; a sister, Elsa McCoy of Oak Lawn, IL; three brothers, Fred Froelke of Palos Park, IL, Charles Froelke of Oak Lawn, IL and William Froelke of Hickory Hills, IL; five grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, 9:30 a.m. at San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
