June Ann Dyson, 74, a longtime resident of Elmhurst and a retired employee of Press Publications, died Sunday, Oct. 8, in Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. “She loved to laugh and make people laugh,” said her daughter Carol. She said her mother’s sense of humor livened up Press’ circulation department, especially when she wore outrageous costumes during Halloween. “One year she dressed up as Mimi from `The Drew Carey Show’ and had people howling,” her daughter said. Mrs. Dyson was born in Oak Park. She worked 21 years for the Elmhurst-based community newspaper, retiring two years ago. She formerly was an assistant manager with Spiegel. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ and of its Women’s Circle. Other survivors include another daughter, Kathy Stencel; a brother, Bud Brieschke; and a grandson. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of services at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 125 W. Church St., Elmhurst.
