Grover E. Coffel, age 71, of Montpelier, formerly of Marion, IN, beloved husband of the late Wilma, nee Wall; loving father of Paula (Rob) Storer, of Hartford City, IN, Gregory Coffel, of Chicago, IL, Vicki (Mike) Rogers, of Montpelier, IN, Mitch (Debbie) Coffel, of Montpelier, IN and Pam (Wayne) Cox, of Cincinnati, OH; cherished grandfather of 17 and great-grandfather of 14; respected uncle of several nieces and nephews and former husband of Phyllis Joan Hartman, of Montpelier, IN; predeceased by wife Wilma; parents Grover Cleveland and Laura, nee Snook Coffel; brother Richard Coffel and sisters Dorthea Hemmick, Marjorie Gerkin and Maxine McIntosh. Mr. Coffel retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad after 38 years of service as a truck driver. He had been a resident of Montpelier for the past seven years but spent the majority of his life in Cincinnati, OH and was also a former resident of Marion, IN. He was a member of the Teamster Union Local 100 of Marion. Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday October 14, 2000 at Glancy Funeral Homes. Funeral Saturday October 14, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, Walker Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Bothast and Rev. Michael Hemmick. Interment, Grant Memorial Park, Marion, IN.
