Rachel L. Sanders (Sias), beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000 at Northwestern Hospital after a brief illness. Rachel was an entrepreneur who believed people should be independent. She was well known as a seamstress and homemaker. Her life is celebrated by a huge family and circle of friends. Viewing Friday, Oct. 13, 2000, noon to 8 p.m. at Cage Memorial Chapel, 7651 S. Jeffery Blvd. Wake/Funeral Service Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, 11 a.m. to 12 noon at First Baptist Church, 935 E. 50th St. Interment immediately following at Oak Woods Cemetery.
