Evelyn Sherlock, nee Hedberg, age 96, of Conover, WI, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000 at the Lillian E. Kerr Nursing Home in Phelps, WI. Evelyn was born in Ironwood, MI on June 11, 1904. She worked as a stenographer for National Life Insurance, American Varnish and Kyanize Paint Co., all in Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, in 1961; and eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, WI. Visitation one hour prior. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, Oct. 16, 2000 at 1 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL. Memorials to Lillian E.
