The Federal Aviation Administration has fined Northwest Airlines $80,000 after alleging that the carrier shipped flammable materials on a Federal Express plane. The FAA says Northwest improperly packaged and failed to properly mark bottles of stain, solvents and aerosal spray on a shipment the airline was sending via FedEx. The package was discovered and reported before the flight took off.
