Irving P. Carlson, 83, passed away at home in Palm Harbor, FL on Sept. 15, 2000, formerly of Maywood, IL, born May 11, 1917 in Evanston, IL, a decorated Marine Corps Veteran of WWII, recipient of 2 Purple Hearts and Bronze Star, survived by beloved wife Patricia Loucks Carlson, Mr. Carlson was also devoted husband to the late Jeanne Carlson and the late Gloria Carlson; loving father of sons Will (Elisabeth), Scott (Judi) and daughter Debby Tucker and the late Jeff Spratt; proud grandfather of Drew, Sarah, Nick, Zachary and Christine. He is remembered for his love of family and friends, his charm and delightful wit. Private family service will be held in Hillside.
