It’s obvious that the collective mind-set of the McCaskey-Phillips-Hatley-Jauron cabal in continuing to use the consistently overmatched Cade McNown is, “This is our organization and no fan or media representative is going to dictate to us how we should run it.” To a certain extent they are correct in that we fans, because of nostalgia and a lack of any alternative, will continue to buy tickets, and the media, because it’s their job, will continue to criticize.
But this closed circle will lose in the long run because Mayor Daley is far too smart to permit himself to become the laughingstock of the nation by helping to fund a new stadium for such continued arrogant ineptitude. The stadium clock is ticking, and I fear time will run out before the present ruling body come to their senses.
Sadly, because of their hard-headedness, they can say goodbye to a new stadium and all the parking and concession revenue that would accompany it.
