Given this country’s economic resources and growth, America has the worst child care/family assistance programs for a modernized society. Our country’s social fabric is coming undone, and will continue to do so unless there is a commitment to social values by all humans.
Al Gore offers a vision of a society tending to the well-being of its citizens and to having a reasonable life of quality, as well as quantity. The Gore-Lieberman candidacy offers the opportunity to re-evaluate where our values should be, to continue to bring them back from deceptive hollow Republican rhetoric, with a strengthened moral commitment of values that are relevant to the realities of the overwhelming family and single-parent and child stresses of life in this country.
