Marilyn T. Thompson, 37 year resident of Woodridge, died after a short illness, on Wednesday, October 11, 2000. Born in Clinton, MA, on December 5, 1923. Marilyn received degrees in Library Science from Simmons College and Rosary College. She worked for more than 20 years in the George Williams College Library. First as Cataloguer, then as Director of Library Services. Recently Marilyn volunteered at Lisle Public Library and The First Congregational Church of Downers Grove Library. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Roger; Daughter, Cathy (Scott) Putman of Greenbay, WI.; and son, Steven (Loretta) of Loves Park, IL; grandchilren, Annie and Daniel Putman. Other relatives include brothers, Robert Harriman (Madeline) Taylor, of Berlin MA., and Robert Waite (Sherry) Taylor of Henderson, NV; and cousin Muriel Dickinson of Northboro, MA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2000, at 2 p.m. at First Congregational Church of Downers Grove, 1047 Curtiss St., Downers Grove. 60515. A memorial fund has been set-up in Marilyn’s name at the church.
