Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
The best and brightest of each year’s cranberry harvest is in peak supply between October and December. Because the big ruby berries freeze so well, it’s easy to have them on hand for using all year long. Simply pour the washed and drained fruit into heavy-duty freezer bags or other airtight containers before freezing them.
To store fresh cranberries, wash and drain; remove any stems, leaves or soft berries. Store in airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks or in the freezer for up to a year.
If you use frozen berries, there’s no need to thaw them first.
