Sister Clare, Carolyn Moll, SSpS, age 91, died peacefully in Maria Hall on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000 at the Convent of the Holy Spirit, Techny, IL. She was in her 66th year of Religious Profession as a Holy Spirit Missionary Sister. Sr. Clare was born in Chicago and joined the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters in 1932. After her First Profession of Vows in 1935, she spent 14 years in hospital and secretarial services in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa, and later taught elementary school in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Illinois. Through the ’70’s and ’80’s, Sr. Clare was receptionist and also served in the Communications Center at the Convent, as well as working in many of the soup kitchens in Chicago. In recent years she lived in retirement at Maria Hall until her death. She is survived by a sister, Marie (John) Duffy; as well as several cherished nieces. Visitation and Wake Services will be at the Convent of the Holy Spirit on Friday, Oct. 20 at 9 a.m., followed by the Mass of the Resurrection in the Convent Chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Techny.
