William R. Neumann, age 82, of Palatine, for 45 years, beloved husband of Shirley, nee Dose, for 51 years; father of Bill Jr. (Veda), Dan (Sandra), Rick (Cindy) and Steve (Denise); grandfather of Andrew, Holly, Colin, Verna, R.J. and Jessica; brother of Wilma (Louie) Landry, Meta (Warren) Elste, Margaret (late Leo) Thomas, Marie (Larry) Slavin and the late Albert. Mr. Neumann was a WWII Navy Vet., having served on the USS Indiana, and was a member of the Northwest Turner Society. Visitation at the Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 201 N.
