Red, yellow, orange and green are just some of the exciting colors you’ll see at the North Park Village Nature Center’s ninth annual Fall Harvest Festival. It’s at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at 5801 N. Pulaski Rd.; supplementing the leaves are guided autumn walks, storytelling and a scarecrow-building contest. Free. 312-744-5472. Fall colors will undoubtedly be present, too, at the Trail of History, which revisits the Northwest Territory between 1670 and 1850 in McHenry County. That one’s at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at Glacial Park, Harts Road and Route 31, Ringwood. $4 ($1 for kids and seniors). 815-338-6223.
