Fr. Louis M. Cortney, O.S.M., a solemn professed friar and priest of the Order of Friar Servants of Mary (Servites) – United States of America Province, died Saturday, October 21, 2000, at Addolorata Villa, Wheeling, IL. He was 86 years of age and a priest for 61 years. He is the son of the late John and Ellen Mary (Deaver) Cortney; the brother of the late Leonard (Kathryn), the late Dennis (Mary), the late Lenora (late Joseph Vogt), and the late Marguerite (Thomas); the uncle of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24, 2000 from 8:30 a.m. followed by Morning Prayer from the Office of the Dead and The Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Addolorata Villa, 555 McHenry Road, Wheeling, IL.
