Arthur S. Roeske, age 94, Vet. of WWII, beloved husband of the late Emma Roeske, nee Dumong; loving father of Evelyn Kaske, Ellen (Jack) Sider, Ron and Bruce Johnson; cherished grandfather of Tracy (John) Galason, Kim (Jeremy) Seppey, David and Greg Sider, Cheryl (Joe) Weber, Jim Johnson and Brian Johnson; proud greatgrandfather of Jessica and John Galason, Brendan Seppey, Nicholas, Samantha and Tessa Weber; dear brother of Irene Cook, Clem (Dorothy), Eleanor Dallas, Betty (Bob) Egan and Therese Winandy; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews; preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters and his granddaughter, Barbara Johnson. Born March 26, 1906 in Chicago, he passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000 at Lexington Health Care in Schaumburg. Mr. Roeske was a member of Carpenters Local #58 for over 50 years, American Legion and V.F.W. #1905 and AMVETS #243. Also a recipient of the Bronze Star. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Thursday 9:30 a.m. from Birren & Son/Lain Hursen Funeral Home, 6125 N.
