William Lyons Fuller, 70, of Cornelius, NC, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville, NC. Born on Feb. 24, 1930, in Chenango Bridge, NY, he was a son of the late William Alan Fuller and Adeline Lyons Fuller Snyder. Mr. Fuller was a retired owner/operator of Industrial Ladder & Supply Co., Villa Park, IL. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Fuller coached Little League Baseball for 16 years and was involved with the Boy Scouts in Villa Park, IL, where he served as a scoutmaster. Mr. Fuller sang with a Barber Shop Chorus in Lombard, IL. He was a former member of Gary Wheaton United Methodist Church, Wheaton, IL. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine McCollom Fuller, whom he married August 2, 1952; children, Teresa F. Zweering and husband, Richard, of Hudsonville, MI, Valerie F. Trimbur and husband, Bruce, of Cornelius, NC, William A. Fuller and wife, Carol, of Lisle, IL, Robert G. Fuller and wife, Melanie, of St. Charles, IL, and James R. Fuller and wife, Joan, of West Chicago, IL; and grandchildren, Kelly, Kristine, Timothy, Allison, Kelsey, Jennifer, Brian, Stephen, Michael, Matthew, Thomas, and Corey. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000, at the CavinCook Funeral Home Chapel, Huntersville, NC, with Dr. James Howell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 3128, Charlotte, NC 28231 or Boy Scouts of America, Piedmont Council, P.O. Box 1059, Gastonia, NC 28053.
