John A. Sprandel, loving father, grandfather, and brother, age 61, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000 in Oregon, IL following a sudden illness. He was born Sept. 28, 1939 in Chicago the son to Elmer and Lucille, nee Austin, Sprandel. He was a cab driver in Chicago for many years for Gladstone Cab Co. He was preceded in death by his parents; son John Joseph; sister Shirley Cushman and brothers Charles and Dale Sprandel; survived by two sons Kevin (Betty) and Michael Sprandel and three daughters Denise Sprandel, Renee (Ed) Chovanec and Lucille (Donald) Callahan; five brothers Elmer (Shirley), Lawrence (Eileen), Donald (Lynn), Ralph and James (Sharon) Sprandel and one sister Dorothy (Fred) Putz; 16 grandchildren, all of Chicago; loving companion Kathleen Corn of Oregon, IL. Memorial Service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000 at the St. John Lutheran Church, 4939 W. Montrose, Chicago, IL. Memorial Fund Est.
