Richard M. Wajda, age 62, Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000 in Valparaiso, IN, survived by his loving wife, Nancy, nee Harrel, Wajda of Valparaiso, IN; three children, Robert Christopher (Tina) Wajda of St. Louis, MO, Roger Anthony Wajda of Akron, OH and Sue Ann (Lance) Smith of Burbank, CA; three grandchildren; one brother, George Wajda of Oxnard, CA; two sisters, Mariann Gannon of Newport News, VA and Suzanne Gran of Palatine, IL; preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. and Mary, nee Czop, Wajda; and one brother, Frank E. Wajda. Born in Chicago, a resident of Texas until moving to Valparaiso, IN in 1996. Graduating from St. Ambrose College, Davenport, IA. Richard was an Army and Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was a Broadcast Engineer for Radio and TV. Member of the Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity and the Radio and TV Broadcast Engineers Union. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, 1 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Rd., Joliet, IL.
