Gerald W. Bartels, age 65, passed away Oct. 23, 2000, beloved husband of Mary, nee Leake; loving father of Dorie (Tom) Wilson and David Bartels; stepfather of Linda (Don) Helms and Thomas Carlsen; dear grandfather of Adrienne, William, Robert, Lindsay and Melissa; fond brother of Fred (Nessie), Victor and Dorothy Klute. Gerald had been employed with the Chicago Tribune as a typographical compositor for 39 years. Memorial Service will be Saturday, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1624 E. Euclid (at Wolf), Mt. Prospect, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Moose Charities, Mooseheart, IL 60539-1100.
