Ellen R. “Dede” Weil, 56, a widely respected University teacher and Corporate volunteer consultant, died on Tuesday at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Gary K. Wolfe; loving mother of Catherine (Greg) Porter, Bradley (Suzy) Chestler, Julie (Randall) Scianna and Robert Weil Richmond; cherished grandmother of Alex, Jordan, Katie, Jack, Maggie, Shae, Emily, Ryan, Benjamin and Megan; dear sister of the late Susan Weil Weiss; proud aunt of Jill, Tony and Jonathon; devoted daughter of the late Leon and Jane; also survived by her loving cousins and friends. Services Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, 1 p.m. at Chicago Sinai Congregation, 15 W. Delaware St., Chicago. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to Thresholds, 4101 N.
