This is an extremely important election for young people. What happens in the next four years will affect our lives and those of the people we love. This election will determine if our grandparents will receive the proper medical care and coverage and the prescription plans that they need.
This election will determine if Social Security will exist when our parents retire–when we retire.
This election will determine if working families get the tax relief that they deserve.
This election will determine if our children will have the education that they need, in safe, gun-free schools.
This election will determine if there is hate-crime legislation to protect our neighbors and friends and brothers and sisters from ignorance.
This election will determine if our daughters and sisters will have the right to choose what is best for their health and well-being.
I ask you all to look out for our future and our children’s futures. I want my children to live in a clean, safe America with choices and security.
