Virginia Ruth Cerny, nee Gibbs, at rest Oct. 27, 2000, age 76, loving daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude Gibbs; cherished sister of Helen (Robert) Schmoker and the late Loretta, Phyllis, and Warren; “special mother” to Douglas (Carla), Christopher (Janie) Gibbs, Scott (Susan) Gibbs, Catherine (Derrick) Bertrand and Dawn Henning, nee Gibbs; fond aunt to several nieces and nephews. She leaves to cherish her memories several friends and her “special family” at St. Hilary Catholic Church. Visitation Monday, 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Hilary Church, 5600 N. Fairfield (at California Avenue), Chicago. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
