Salvatore “Sal” Parrinello, died Oct. 21 in Key West, FL. Mr. Parrinello was born Oct. 11, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War and a current auxiliary member of the U.S. Coast Guard in Key West. He was an avid pilot and sailor. A former resident of Chicago, Mr. Parrinello owned several restaurants, including the original Salvatore’s on Arlington Place and Parrinello’s on Wells Street. Moving to Key West, FL, he owned Salute Ristorante Sul Mare. His beloved wife, Dawn Marie, nee Reifeiss; stepfather, Jules; sister, Marilyn of New Jersey; and two nephews survive Mr. Parrinello. There will be a memorial service Saturday, Nov. 4, 2 p.m. at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West.
