Learn valuable skills as you find your way through the wilderness in a program sponsored by the Lake County Forest Preserve District.

Experts will teach participants how to find their way from Point A to Point B using a compass, landmarks and topographic maps. Participants will then test their newfound skills in a contest to search for hidden markers in the forest. The all-day program takes place indoors and outdoors and is intended for families with children ages 12 and older.

Registration is required, and admission is $25. Participants should bring a sack lunch and beverage. For information, call 847-968-3321.
