Marjorie Lorraine West, nee Buckley, born March 8, 1920, in Chicago, formerly a long time Wilmette resident. Passed away on October 27th at McGaw Care Center in Evanston. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur H. West; and is survived by three sons Douglas (Deborah) of Ankeny, Iowa, Christopher (Veronica) of Wilmette, and Kenneth (Patricia) of Woodstock; she is also survived by grandchildren Kevin (Lisa), Eric, Justin, and Alex West; and one great-grandchild, Jackson; also surviving is a sister Elizabeth (Edward) Sundstrom and sister-in-law Miriam West Blair; many nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy (Major) Stephens and a brother George (Patricia) Buckley. An avid volunteer Mrs. West had long time associations with Trinity United Methodist Church, Skokie Valley Hospital (Now Rush North Shore), North Shore Associates and Geneva Place at the Presbyterian Home in Evanston. She and her husband were lovers of fine art, antiques and travel. During her school years she attended 13 different schools as the family frequently moved. Once settled in the Chicago area, she attended Morgan Park High School and Bradley University in Peoria. Visitation Sunday 4 to 7 p.m. at Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf Avenue, Wilmette. Lying-in-state Monday October 30, 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1024 Lake Avenue, Wilmette, IL 60091. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
