Warren Clay Conover, age 89, passed away Friday, October 27, 2000 in Appleton, WI., born August 23, 1911 in Terre Haute, IN; son of the late Warren M. and Luttie, nee Johnson, Conover; father of Nancy (John) Machia, of Appleton, WI; grandfather of seven; great-grandfather of two; preceded in death by his wife Jean, nee Thompson, Conover, his son the late Dennis; and his sister the late Helen Conover. At the age of 28 he was appointed Chief Engineer of Outboard Marine Corporation. At the time of his retirement in 1973 he was Vice President and General Manager of the Johnson Motor Division. Mr. Conover held many patents pertaining to outboard motor manufacturer. Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at North Shore Garden of Memories in North Chicago, IL.
