Rudolph “Rudy” Kalous, age 84, died Sunday October 29, 2000 at his home in Eagle River, WI. Rudy was born on July 11, 1916 in Grundy Center, Iowa. He was married to his wife of 60 years, Reva, nee Rogers, on June 1, 1940 at the First Congregational Church in Eagle River, WI. He worked as a lift truck operator and shop steward for the Drewry Brewery in Chicago, IL. He was a logger at the Thunder Lake Lumber Co. in the 1930’s. Rudy also was a carpenter, plumber, electrician, and home builder. Rudy is survived by his wife Reva; daughter Janet Motzko of Round Lake, IL; son Larry (Sharon) of Hampshire, IL; brothers, Carl (Marie) of Conover, WI and Emil of Eagle River; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his son Rudolph Patrick; his daugther Linda; three brothers; and five sisters. Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2000 at First Congregational Church in Eagle River, WI. Visitation on Wednesday November 1, 2000 at Gaffney-Busha Funeral Home in Eagle River, WI from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorials to Cystic Fibrosis appreciated by the family.
