To Janice Sutton and Patrick Hughes, who seem so worried about the inexperience of George W. Bush (Voice of the people, Oct. 26), it seems they have forgotten 1992, when we had an incumbent president who had served eight years as vice president, four years as president and had previously been director of the CIA. He was well-qualified to lead the country, domestically and in foreign affairs, but we chose an obscure governor from Arkansas who had no national experience.
Guess what? We survived.
It seems time to give a new man a chance. Gore had his and let us down.
