More home grown culture will be on display at the American Indian Center’s 47th Annual Powow, where more than 400 Native American dancers will perform and compete Friday through Sunday. Approximately 50 nations are expected to attend this annual fundraiser for the AIC that features arts, crafts and jewelry vendors as well as Native American food booths. The Annual Powwow takes place at the University of Illinois Pavilion, 1150 W. Harrison St. Daily admission is $10 for adults; $4 for senior citizens and children 5 to 12; free for children under 5 and $18 for a weekend pass.
