Like much of the country, last Wednesday I burned out my eyeballs on hours of TV news. Then came Thursday morning. It was peaceful and quiet. I had a Chicago Tribune and a cup of coffee in front of me and I learned more about the election mess in 40 minutes than I had in the hours of TV.
